Tofu Sprout Tacos



These tofu sprout tacos are a delicious and healthy twist on traditional tacos. The combination of crispy tofu and fresh sprouts brings a delightful texture and flavor to each bite. Customize your tacos with your favorite toppings for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 block tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup mixed sprouts such as mung bean sprouts, alfalfa sprouts, etc
  • 8 small tortillas, warmed
  • Toppings: diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, avocado slices, salsa, etc

Instructions:

In a bowl, toss the cubed tofu with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the seasoned tofu

Cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally

Remove tofu from the skillet and set aside

In the same skillet, add the mixed sprouts and saut for 2-3 minutes until slightly wilted

Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave

Assemble the tacos by filling each tortilla with the cooked tofu, sauted sprouts, and desired toppings

Serve immediately and enjoy!
