These baked onion rings are a healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried ones. They are easy to make and incredibly delicious, perfect as a side dish or snack.
Ingredients:
- 2 large onions, cut into rings
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray or oil for greasing
Instructions:
Start by heating the oven up to 450F 230C
Put the onion rings in buttermilk for 30 minutes after separating them
Blend flour, breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl that is not too deep
Take the onion rings out of the buttermilk and let the extra drip off
Then, cover each ring with the breadcrumb mixture
Spread the onion rings out in a single layer on a baking sheet that has been greased
Spray cooking spray on the onion rings or drizzle them with oil
The rings should be baked in a hot oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy
Enjoy while hot!
