Ingredients:
- 4 sub rolls
- 1 lb ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices American cheese
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 4 dill pickle spears
Instructions:
Set your grill or skillet on the stove to medium-high heat to get it ready
Add salt and pepper to the ground beef, and then shape it into four burger patties
The burger patties should be cooked on a grill or stove for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them
Add a slice of American cheese to each patty and let it melt in the last minute of cooking
While the burgers are cooking, split the sub rolls in half and toast them briefly on the grill or in a pan
Put the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in a small bowl and mix them together to make the sauce
Before putting the subs together, spread the sauce on the toasted sub rolls
Put a burger patty on each roll, then lettuce, tomato slices, and onions that have been thinly sliced
If you want, you can serve the Cheeseburger Subs hot with a dill pickle spear on the side
